Dr. I-Net was formed in 1998. Its founder Harish Kapoor (President of Computer Aided Logistics Engineering), initiated this project with a proposal to the Department of Health and Human Services in 1992. The internet's universal acceptance and rapid worldwide growth created a unique opportunity for Dr. I-Net to offer unparalleled services; both at a business-to-business level as well as a business-to-consumer level. Mr. Kapoor's background in business and advanced degrees in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering, along with 25 years of entrepreneurial experience in the healthcare industry, has positioned him to capitalize on this opportunity.
CALE, formed in 1989, has established itself as a think tank in robotics, automation, computers and biomedical engineering. CALE has completed key projects for IBM, Motorola, Coulter, Microsoft, Lucent and AT&T. CALE has found that a trend toward specialization in internet technology is already here and the healthcare arena offers an excellent opportunity to improve the delivery of services. CALE's strong credentials and expertise enabled Dr.I-Net's team to take advantage of this opportunity and subsequently launch the Dr. I-Net Corporation.
